First celebrity sighting.
I went to see Midlake on Saturday, and it was sooooo good. I took Cat along and she loved it. It was at the Troub, and we managed to snag front row balcony/loft seats. Uncomfortable wooden benches, but better than standing all night. I was really ticked off though because they wouldn’t let my camera in. Said it was too professional. I wanted to say, “Excuse me, but do I look like someone who can afford to spend thousands of dollars on a professional camera?”
Jason Lee is a big fan of the band, and he was there. We walked right past him on our way out. Cat was thrilled. There was another actor there I recognized but couldn’t place and it’s been driving me crazy.
Christina Ricci was supposed to be there (I know this because I got bumped from the guestlist by her) but I didn’t see her. Not sure I’d recognize her if I did, though.
Cat also saw a guy she thought looked like Chris Sligh, a contestant on American Idol, on our way to the venue. I only saw him from behind so I’m not sure. She saw him from the front though and is positive it was him.
