Benjamin
This is my great-great grandfather.
He was born in 1821 and had 8 children, including my great-grandfather, Francis Marion. If my dates are correct, he was 38 when Francis, his 7th child, was born.
What’s interesting to me (besides the fact that they wore ties like that in the mid-1800’s—does anyone know if they did? I’m wondering now if this picture is really him) is that he looks kinda like my father. I can’t decide if it’s the shape of his face, or his expressionin this picture, but he reminds me of my dad.
maybe it’s the high forhead? ha ha…actually, i think something about the eyes and nose sort of remind me of dad.
